"This World Belongs to Us: An Anthology of Horror Stories About Bugs" releases today

Hi All, I don't have a story in this volume, but I was a slush reader and proofreader on the project, which means I helped the editors pick the included stories. It's a wonderful collection, and I encourage you to pick it up! There's a bunch of flavors of horror here, including gross stories, more thoughtful, quiet ones, more humorous stories, and very sad ones too. Buy here:  This World Belongs to Us | From Beyond Press

My story "The Prodigy's Spouse" is now published in After the Storm Magazine

This was based on the "wedding" part of the story. Eurydice is a nymph and Orpheus is a human. I wanted to imagine a wedding between characters from two very different societies and ask, can it ever be healthy? I am not sure. But people are always going to keep making those connections.

My story "The Algae's Always Golder on This Side" is published in IZ Digital

Check it out here:  The Algae is Always Golder on This Side – IZ Digital (interzone.digital) [Art by Dante Luiz, commissioned by IZ Digital] For subscribers only, but it will be free to read in the future. This story was inspired by small towns in the Hudson Valley region, my love-hate relationship with Mute Swans, and the trials and tribulations of small town ecology work.
