My sci-fi/horror story, "The Mules" which originally was published in Bear Creek Gazette Issue 10 released in July, 2022 was nominated for an award: Best in New Weird Horror of 2022.

This story was rejected more than 20 times before BCG editor, Stuart Buck, accepted it for his publication, so I was very surprised to be nominated (but very grateful, too!). I actually sent a couple of stories for consideration.
Winners will be announced on December 1, 2022, but short-listed nominees will still be listed in the volume.
Regardless of the outcome, it's an honor to be nominated, especially for a story I struggled so long to get to see the light of day. I might make another blog post about why I wrote the story.
